PEMBERIAN AMELIORAN DREGS PADA LAHAN GAMBUT SERTA PENGARUHNYATERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSIJAGUNG (Zea mays. L)

Abstract

An effort to raise the crown production can be done by extend the land of histosol. The main problem always faces by the farmer in using the land of histosol is the high of acid (low pH). To make it can be used to farm better is by giving ameliorant such as dregs. The purpose of research is to get the best dosage to the growing and the production of com. It is done on April to Agust 2007 at the land of histosol, Rimbo Panjang Village of Kampar. The research is done by experiement with random complete methode /Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). It consits of 5 stages with 3 repetition at every stage. They are Do (without giving dregs), Dl (5 tons ciregs/ha=3^ kg/plot), D2 (10 tons/ha=7 kg/plot) D3 (15 tons/ha=10.5 / plot) and D4 (20 ton/ha =14 kg/plot) it consist of 15 plots, every plot has 32 trees. The parameter is about the fastest growing tree, height of the dried structure of tree, emerging time of male and female flower, length and diameter of com, sum and height of seed for every com and height every 1000 seeds. The result of research shows that giving 15 tons dregs/ha can raise the growing and height and* it can make fast grow to the flower. The length and the sum of seed for every com tend to raise by giving every dosage of dregs. By giving 5 and 15 tons dregs/ha can raise the height of seed for every com and height of 1000 seeds.
