PENERAPAN STRATEGI DIRECTED READING THINKING ACTIVITY (DRTA) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMAHAMI TEKS PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 113 PEKANBARU

Abstract
Tipe of This research is a class action, with IV Grade students study subject were numbered as many as 42 students, only 7 People (16,66%) that otherwise meet the standars of KKM, That is fault student mastery of the material taught, if the evaluation olnli a small percentage of studen who are able to answer question correctly. This research aims to improve student ability to comprehend text throught srtategies Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA). The result of study showed improvement in learning throught the implementation of strategies Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) to understand text. The average of students ability to comprehend text from initial data is 58,3 (low strategises). At the meeting 1 cycle I average ability students understand the text is 60,9 (low categories), at the meeting 2 cycle I average ability students understand the text is 66,1 (low kategories), at daily test cycle I average ability understand the text is 69,5 (low categories), at the meeting I cycle 2 average ability understand the text is 73,3 (medium categories), at the meeting 2 cycle 2 average ability undesrtand the text is 81 (medim categiries).Data this research also collected with use observation sheets, at cycle I average teacher activities is 75,5%and average students activities is 71%. Then cycle II average teacher activities is 87,5% and average students activities is 85%. Based on analize the data it can be concluded that the implementation of strategies Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) can improve student ability to comfrehend text. Hipothesies can be accepted
