EVALUASI PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI MENGGUNAKAN COBIT FRAMEWORK

Abstract

Application of Information Technology to support the achievement of the vision and mission of higher education in University of Riau, holds a very important role. Evaluation of the implementation of information technology by using the COBIT Framework is useful both for users, developers and IT managers. Implementation of IT at the University of Riau (UR) requires management control activities for the whole process in the domain of Planning & Organization (PO), Monitoring & Evaluating, (ME), Acquisition & Implementation (AI), and Delivery & Support (DS). Evaluation of the process in the domain needs to be done so that management can make improvements needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the classification based on the application of IT UR and find out the contribution of IT implementation in some faculties and institutions and to determine the evaluation of IT implementation at the UR.. The results showed that the level of maturity in the domain PO in UR already well on the scale above 3 (defined). Maturity level on most of the DS domain has a scale of 2 (repeatable but intuitive). The level of maturity on the domain AI is still much to be in 2 (repeatable but intuitive). The level of maturity on ME domain name is still very low at the scale of 1 (Initial). Based on faculty and institutional samples were divided into 3 groups of IT maturity level, namely the IT maturity level "Low" only one (Faculty of Madicine), IT maturity level "Medium" are three (Faculty of Engineering, FMIPA and BPTIK), level of IT maturity "High " is one (Rector).
