dc.description.abstract This research was conducted in MTS Al-Muttaqin Pekanbaru. Based on the result of information sharing with students, many of them complaining about the way the teacher deliver the lessons. Observation result also show that some of the students are less interest to join learning process in the subject of IPS. They think that the way they teacher deliver the lessons is not like they hope. This condition will affect students’ achievement and decrease students’ enthusiasm. The aim of this research is to find out students’ satisfaction about learning quality of teacher in the IPS subject class VII in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al -Muttaqin Pekanbaru. Another aim of this research is to find out some components that give contribution to students’ satisfaction. Population of this research is 124 students with 55 samples. Sampling was done by Slovin formula. Data collection technique was done by questionnaire and analyzed by importance and performance analysis (IPA). Result shows that students’ satisfaction in general is in good category (Puas). this may be because the students are still in class VII and when questionnaire are spread out, the teacher was in the classroom, so the students felt threaten. Data of questionnaire result is 98,01. Based on quality factor classification with kartesius diagram, factors which located in Quadran A (main priority) are 2 attributes, quadrant B (maintaining achievement) are 21 attributes, quadrant C a(low priority) are 6 attributes, quadrant D (over) are 11 attributes. This research recommend that teachers of IPS class VII can maintain attributes in quadrant B, because these attributes have already match with students’ hope and give satisfaction to students. Th is result also recommend that teacher fix quality components in quadrant A, so the students feel satisfy and can achieve high skill for their life en_US
