PERANAN POLISI DAERAH RIAU DALAM PENEGAKAN HUKUM TERHADAP TINDAK PIDANA PERDAGANGAN ILLEGAL SATWA LIAR YANG DILINDUNGI DI PROVINSI RIAU

Abstract

Riau Province is one area that has natural resources in abundance. The condition was directly aligned with the number of crimes in the field of conservation of natural resources particularly the crime of trafficking in illegal wildlife. Riau Police as law enforcement agencies play a role in enforcing the law in a way pre-emptive, preventive and repressive. In the implementation of the law enforcement, there are several obstacles, including financial constraints (Finance), facilities and infrastructure, the public, with a neat and organized crime involving international network, human resources and lack of law enforcement itself, but the Riau Police still working to overcome these obstacles by way of proposing additional operating costs, a relationship of coordination and cooperation with relevant institutions, society, NGO and Association PERBAKIN that indeed interact directly with these issues, and reform internally.
