Abstract:
The background of this research is study result of mathematic students in the class V SD Negeri
161 Pekanbaru still relatively low. Low is study result of mathematic students caused by students
poor understanding of the material that has be delivered. In cooperative learning model
Numbered Heads Together stressed the importance of students real context is know and process
of knowledge construction of mathematic by students them selves and students received more
meaningful. This research is a classroom action research with research subjects students class V
SD Negeri 161 Pekanbaru TP 2012/2013. Purpose of this research is to improve study result of
mathematic the students in the class V SD Negeri 161 Pekanbaru. Data in the research is
quantitative data obtained from test of knowledge and students understanding through daily test,
data on the activities teachers and students. The result of this study showed that the average
percentage of teacher activity increased at each meeting. At the first meeting of the cycle I
percentage of all teacher of 72,91%, at the second meeting of the cycle I increased of 4,17%
become 77,08%, at the first meeting cycle II increased of 8,33% become 85,41%, at the second
meeting of the cycle II increased of 2,09% become 87,5%, at the first meeting of the cycle III
increased of 6,25% become 93,75% and at the second meeting of the cycle III increased of 4,16%
become 97,91%. While the student activity also increased each meeting. At the first meeting of the
cycle I percentage student activity of 70,83%, at the second meeting of the cycle I increased of
2,08% become 72,91 %, at the first meeting of the cycle II increased of 4,17% become 77,08%, at
the second meeting of the cycle II increased of 2,08% become 79,16%, at the firs meetin g of the
cycle III increased of 10,42% become 89,58% and at the second meeting of the cycle III increased
of 6,25% become 95,83%. Average student learning outcomes in basic score is 66,30 and become
increased of 77,12 the cycle I, increased again in cycle II become 80,25 and increased again in
cycle III become 85,50. Overall improvement of the basic score to the daily test is equal 19,20
(28,95 %). Where as individual mastery in cycle I to reaches 75%, then the cycle II to reach 85%
and at cycle III to reach 90%. This proves that the application of cooperative learning model
numbered heads together to improve study result of mathematic the student in the class V SD
Negeri 161 Pekanbaru
