Abstract:
Immediate application of learning models in mathematics leraning aims to help
students learn the basic skills and obtain the information step by step. This study
aims to improve learning outcomes of students’ mathematics classroom VB SDN
165 pekanbaru in the subject matter properties up flat and build space. The study
design was a classroom action research that consists of six stages in each cycle,
including planning, implementation,observasion, and reflection. This research
was conducted as many as three cycles. The result of the firs cycle of reflection
shows activity for teachers is good and student activities can be categorized
either but there are some things that should be improved is the visibility of the
students in the classroom, liveliness, and accuracy of students in solving the given
problem. For the second cycle teachers and students activities have increased and
have started better than ever. And for the third cycle activity both teachers and
students are better than ever. The results of the data analysis and discussion of
studens learning outcomes in the first cycle shows an increase in the thoroughness
of the amount which the individual students who completed the baseline score as
many as 17 studens with a percentage (40,47%) and the average value of 59,76
increase in the first cycle to 25 students who completed the percentage (60%) and
the average value of 61,7. In the second cycle increased to 34 students who
completed the percentage (81%) and the average value of 68,9. And the third
cycle increased to 40 students who completed the percentage(95%) and the
average value of 85,2. Thus it can be concluded that the application of direct
instructional can improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes elementary
school classroom VB SDN 165 pekanbaru on material properties flat make and
yor space
