Abstract:
Problem in this study originated from the observation of the researcher on the
long jump Elementary School fifth grade students 86 Tassel city that is still a lot of
discovery Pekanbaru students who have not been able to produce a pretty good leap,
this can be seen when the students ran, the speed is less than the maximum so that
when students get to beam repulsion pedestal legs less. Therefore this study aimed to
determine the relationship of speed to run with the results of the long jump squat style
in men's class V students of SD Negeri 86 Pekanbaru.
This type of research is a correlation study. The population in this study were
fifth grade students of SD Negeri 86 Pekanbaru who were 30 students, in cluding 20
boys and 10 girls. Sampling was carried out with total sampling, where the entire
population sampled, the samples taken were his son only students in this study
amounted to 20 people. Data obtained from tests running speed of 50 meters to
measure how much the testee running speed and long jump test is a test for mengdan,
to measure how far a leap testee results.
Results of data analysis research note that the data are normally distributed
because the table = 0.190 L> Lo Max 0.1675. Running speed relationship with the
outcome long jump squat style men's class V students of SD Negeri 86 Pekanbaru
was r = 0.45. At the significant level of 5% was found r = 0.44 tables. thus the count
r> r table or 0.45> 0.44 with a medium level category relation. Furthermore, to test
the significance of correlation significance using t-test formula. From the results of
the calculation are known t t = 2.144 while the table at 95% confidence level is
1.734. Thus it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the
alternative hypothesis (Ha) that "There is a running speed relationship with the
outcome long jump squat style men's class V students of SD Negeri 86 Pekanbaru"
