Abstract:
Purposes of this study were: 1) to determine the self-esteem of students who attend
school in the sixth grade at SDN Force 1 urban Equator 2) to determine the self-esteem
of students who attend school in the sixth grade at SDN Rural Cluster 1 Equator 3) to
determine differences in self-esteem sixth grade students who attend a school in the
Urban Rural Cluster 1 on SDN Equatorial Kampar Kiri district. The study population
112 students. The method used is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques
with questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is the percentage. Results of this
study were self-esteem of students who attend urban middle category that is dominant
on the number or frequency of 33 students with a percentage 40.24%, followed by the
category with the number of frequencies lower that as many as 28 students or with a
percentage of 34.15%, and self-esteem the high category are as many as 21 students are
with the percentage of 25.61%; self-esteem of students who attend school in rural
middle category that is dominant on the number or frequency of 18 students with a
percentage of 60%, followed by the category of low and high categories, namely the
number of frequency 6 respectively students or with a percentage of 20%; There are
significant differences between the self-esteem of students who attend school in the
sixth grade urban students who attend school in the countryside on SDN Force I
Kampar Kiri subdistrict.
