Abstract:
The problem in this study is the result of learning mathematics is still now. It is evident from the
average value of the results on the first semester of study, the number of students who reach the set on
the class KKM VB SD Negeri 56 Pekanbaru only 9 students from 29 students. KKM while the school
was established 70. Of these problems needs to be done to implement the action research model of
problem-based-learning. This research is done in three cycles with each cycle of 3 meetings. Of th e
results of the study indicated that all teachers in the first cycle was 73,75% (good), the second cycle
increased to 82,5%(excellent) with increase of 8,75%, and the third cycle increased to 93,75% (very
good) with an increase of 11,25%. Activities of students in the first cycle was 72,5% (good), the
second cycle increased to 78,75% (excellent) with an increase of 6,25%, and the third cycle increased
to 91,25% (excellent) with increasing of 12,5%. Based data analysis result obtained studying
mathematics average score of students learning outcomes of elementary 64,79, in the first cycle
increased to 69,55 with an increase of 4,76 points (7,34%), the cycle II increased to 72,51 with an
increase of 2,96 points (4,25%), and the third cycle increased to 87,27 w ith an increase of 14,76
points (20,35%). Completeness in classical base score increased from 31,03% in the first cycle
increased to 51,72% with an increase of 20,69%, in the second cycle increased to 75,86% with a
24,14% increase, and the third cycle increases to 89,65% with an increase of 13,79%. Based on the
results of this study it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning Model to
Improve Student Learning Outcomes Math VB Class Negeri 56 Pekanbaru.
