Abstract:
This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of learning strategy
Football Verbal against improving student learning outcomes on the subject of
chemical bonding in class X SMAN 2 Siak Hulu. The form of this research is an
experimental research with pretest-posttest design and the data collection time
ranging from months of October-November 2012. The sample consisted of two
classes i.e class X.1 as the experimental class and class X.4 as the control class.
The processing of final data using t-test formula obtained by t-count greater than
t-table is 2.14 > 1.67 means that the hypothesis of the application of active
learning strategy Football Verbal to improve student learning outcomes on the
subject of chemical bonding in class X SMA 2 Siak Hulu accepted with the
increase percentage 7.1%.
