Abstract:
This research is motivated by low grade math learning outcomes IVB SD Negeri 153 Pekanbaru
with the goal of improving student learning outcomes. Researchers used a type of Cooperative
Learning Model Think Pair Share. Subjects in this study were students of SD Negeri IVB 153
Pekannbaru 2012/2013 the number of students 34. Object of this research is to improve math
learning outcomes. This study was conducted from January 22 2013 to 12 2013 in 3 cycles
Februaru with 9 meeting times and 3 times daily tests. Instrument in this study is a learning device
that syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets. The data collection instruments observation
techniques, test engineering and engineering documentation. Data analysis technique that
analyzes teacher and student activities, classical completeness and improved learning outcomes.
Based on the analysis of the average - average outcomes study before action is classified poor by
55.8 percentage of completeness (41.17%). In cycle 1 with an average of 61.5 percentage
(44.11%). In cycle 2 rat - with a 64.3 average percentage (47.06%). In cycle 3 average - average
by 85.8 percentage (88.24%). Activities of teachers and students is increasing at every cycle. From
the results of this study concluded that the use of cooperative lear ning model to improve learning
outcomes TPS math grade elementary school IVB 153 Pekanbaru
