dc.description.abstract	This study aims to know the diversity of papaya (Carica papaya) in Pekanbaru. The research was conducted from September 2012 to March 2013 using exploration method. A total of 31 specimens were collected from the field for further detail examination of morphological characters. Six cultivars of papaya were found in Pekanbaru, i.e. Mas, Palas, Madu, Bangkok, Medan and Calina, while the four hybrids found were Medan x Madu, Medan x Calina, Medan x Bangkok and Palas x Calina. The result showed that the diversity of papaya in Pekanbaru was very high and morphological variation was found in all of the cultivars.	en_US
