Abstract:
The background of this research with low teaching skill as perceived by students
in high schools right Kerinci. Formulation of the problem in this research is how
Student Perceptions of the Teaching Skills High School Civics Teacher Interior Right
Kerinci District Siak. This study aimed to determine the perception of students toward
teaching Skill High School Civics Teacher Interior Right Kerinci District Siak.
Teaching skill are the skill an absolute must have for teachers carry out their duties in
teaching and learning of students in the classroom. The research was conducted in
Kerinci SMA Right Siak regency with a population of 900 people. While the sampling
technique using purposive sampling, that is 10% of all students x900 students = 90
students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations and interviews. In
analyzing the data using descriptive analysis qualitative using percentages. The
hypothesis in this study is the Student Perceptions of the Teaching Skill High School
Civics Teacher Interior Right Kerinci District Siak is not good.
The results of this research, that according to 61 respondents or 67.3% of
students stated perception Teaching Skills High School Civics Teacher Interior Right
Kerinci District Siak is ''good''. When viewed from the benchmark Hadi Sutrisno
opinion (1999:226) 0% -33.33% is less good, 33.34% -66.66% is pretty good, and
66.67% -100% is good. Then this hypothesis is rejected. It can be concluded that the
perception of students toward Teaching Skill High School Civics Teacher Interior Right
Kerinci District Siak is ''good''.
