Abstract:
The research was conducted in Kandis Siak District, which is a phenomenon that occurs in this district is kandis social deviance committed by juveniles is a motorcycle club "komicy" (kandis automotive comunity) is one of the motorcycle club that was given by the local community in the form of labeling motorcycle gang. Because this motorcycle gangs often cause unrest in the community, especially in sub kandis, with actions that deviate from the values and norms in society. Thus the aim of this study was to determine what factors motivate teenagers or students joined a group of biker gangs and to be able to know how to motorcycle gangs in recruiting members.
The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method to prioritize the results of interviews and field observations. The theory used is a motivational theory and theories of social deviance.
Based on this research that motivated teenagers joined in the motorcycle gang "komicy" that is based on intrinsic motivation is a factor of the self, because of attitudes like to hang out with the same hobby and an attitude of wanting to be noticed. As well as extrinsic factors that motives are active and functioning due to external stimuli such as low levels of parental supervision of their children, and errors in the mix as well as environmental factors that lead to a variety of behavior irregularities out of the ordinary. Then there are several ways in motorcycle gangs recruit members to join the group one of which is to test your nerve and skill in a variety of forms that are automotive and pay an administrative, but recruitment is not permanent but is adjusted based on the will of the leader and the senior authorities and and so on
