Abstract:
Background problems in this study is lack of students IPA learning outcomes with an
average of 62.26 with value of the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) for
science lesson is 75, where students numbering 34 people, students who achieve
KKM only 5 students and 29 students which does not reach the KKM. To overcome
these problems a learning model that enhances student IPA learning outcome is a
guided inquiry learning model, this research aims to improve science learning
outcomes in IVD class of SDN 183 Pekanbaru "Application of Guided Inquiry
Learning Model". Subjects researchis students of fouth grade with 43 numbers of
student,consisting of 17 male and 17 female. The study consisted of 3 cycles. First
cycle consists of 2 meetings. Second cycle consists of 3 sessions and the third cycle
consists of 2 meetings. The average value of student learning outcomes has increased
where before action is 62.26 and rose to 68.17 on the first UH. Increase from the first
cycle to the base score of 5.91. At UH II has increase by 78.20. Great improvement
from the first to the UH II of 10.03. And in the third cycle UH increased returns of
83.03. Total overall increase in the amount of 20.77. Activities of students during the
learning process of the first cycle increased by an average of 75%, in the second cycle
meningakat by 86.90% and the third cycle has increased by 96.42% return. And the
teacher activity also increased in the first cycle by an average of 90%, in th e second
cycle increased a big as 95, 83% and in the third cycle has increased by 96.25%
return. Thus the application of inquiry learning model to improve learning outcomes
of IPA in IVD class of SDN 183 Pekanbaru acceptable.
