PERAN WANITA DALAM PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN DALAM KELUARGA (STUDI TENTANG WANITA BEKERJA PADA SEKRETARIAT DAERAH PROVINSI RIAU)

Abstract

The role of women in general can be divided into three namely dwiperan the position of women in domestic roles are equally important-public, egalitarian roles where women's time and attention more on outside activities and contemporary roles where women prefer self in solitude. One factor working they will do to meet the needs of family life. Dominant factor that affects the phenomenon of wives working wives for a living is the level of decision-making in the family. This study was conducted to determine how their participation to decision making in the family and how the family patterns of decision-making in women working in the formal sector in the city of Pekanbaru. In this study also is expected to contribute and find the right solutions for women's empowerment and gender equality in the family and society at large. The results showed that the majority of women working in the city Pekanbarubahwa role of women working in the family is still dominant, especially in matters relating to the care of children and families. However, the role of the family associated with domestic work such as cleaning, washing, cooking lunch is dominated by domestic servants. Family decision-making is still dominated by the wife, especially in decision-making related to the child's needs and the needs of the household. While the decision relating to the purchase of high-value goods such as home, vehicle and purchase high-value items such as gold and jewelry making are set based on the discussion between husband and wife and that decision long-term nature.
