dc.description.abstract This research based with the low level motivation learned mathematics in SDN 054 Senggoro Kecamatan Bengkalis, is because teachers only applies the methods of lectures and still dominated by teacher or the learning process not centered on the kids, so that students being passive only take for granted material given by the teacher. Later when asked by a tutor to discuss students only just play in the group discussion. Action taken is the kind of classroom cooperative type team game tournament on (TGT). The purpose of this research is to improve students motivation to learn mathematics class IV SDN 054 Senggoro Kecamatan Bengkalis. Form this research is the act of class research. The subject of this research is graders in SDN 054 of class IV Senggoro Kecamatan Bengkalis with number of students 32 people, with 17 as a male and 15 famale students. Instrument of research, covering the syllabus implementation plan of learning, worksheets students. The result showed an increase in motivation learn from the cycle I to cycle II. The first cycle of activities teachers 72.7% first meeting, a second meeting by 75%, 80% the third meeting, while the second cycle of the sixth meeting of 84.1%, 90.1%, and the seventh meeting of the eighth meeting of 95%. Activities of the first cycle of students increased from 65.9% at the first meeting, a second meeting to be 72.7%, the third meeting with the 75%, while the second cycle of the sixth meeting of the seventh meeting of 86.4% and 93.2% for the eighth meeting of 96,7%. Judging from the increased motivation to learn from the mean baseline score of 38 increased to 46.88 in the first cycle and the second cycle was 60.25. Based on the results of this study concluded that the application of learning models Cooperative Study Team Games Tournament (TGT) may increase the motivation to learn en_US
