“EFFECTS OF THE GROUPING GUIDANCE ON THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF THE X CLASS ISOLATED STUDENTS AT SMA
NEGERI 1 TAMBANG SCHOOL YEAR 2012/ 2013”

ABSTRACT
The research has already completed which is proposed to improve the Emotional Intelligence of the X class Isolated Students at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang by the group guidance. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was fulfilled on December 2012 until March 2013. The subject of this research was the class X student which is contains of 26 students (15 males and 11 females). The research’s data collection instrument used questionnaire technique. The mean on the result from the isolated students before the grouping guidance had applied was at 54% (low category) while the mean after the grouping guidance was applied was at 70 % (intermediate category). The “T- Test” points out that there is an improvement of the score’s emotional intelligence after the grouping guidance by the mean at 0, 39 level of significance (low category). According to the result of the research, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the grouping guidance on the emotional intelligence of the class X isolated students at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang school year 2012/ 2013.
