Abstract:
A research on the application of the active learning strategy type true or false has been conducted by purpose of increasing students’ achievement in learning hidrocarbon at grade X class of SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru. The pretest-posttest control group design was used in this research. Data was analyzed with t-test at 0,05 level of significance. Result showed that the t value was 2,88 while t-table was 1,67. Therefore, it could be concluded that the application of the active learning strategy type true or false with was able to increase students’ learning achievement in hidrocarbon discussion at X class of SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru.The active learning strategy type true or false can improve students’ participation since they directly involved within the process it self, the process are discussion and presentation.
