KONTRIBUSI WANITA PEMULUNG DALAM MEMBANTU PEREKONOMIAN KELUARGA DI TPA MUARA FAJAR KECAMATAN RUMBAI KOTA PEKANBARU

Abstract

Scavenger are the ones who do the work of picking, looking for second - hand goods that have selling in places like garbage cans, houses, roadsides, shopping areas, industria areas and landfill. Scavengers here is aa woman who not only acts as a housewife who worked to take care of affairs of the house, but also work outside the home to the family economy. Studies on the role of the wife in raising family incomes are more likely to see the author in terms of revenue scavengers in helping the faily economy and the effect of the work on the role of women in household. This study aims to determine the implication of working as scavenger on the role of a housewife in the family and also to know the women scavengers contribute to the family economy. This study used qualitative data analysis. Data used include primary data obtained through interviews to research subjects and secondary data. Number of subjects in this study were7 women scavengers status as a housewife. This research concludes that women do not have implications for the rule of scavenger housewife in the family. Although it works, most of them keep doing their job as a homemaker. Scavenger domestic divison of labor is also created both the husband and the children.
