Abstract:
This study aimed to analyze the influence of motivation and the work environment on job
satisfaction of employees at PT. Tirta Emas Kemasindo (Jesslyn) in Pekanbaru. Moreover, technique
of sample was census with was 51 people. Sources of data were used primary data and secondary
data. The technique was used collecting the data through interviews and questionnaires. The method
of analysis in this research, were descriptive quantitative analysis of partial and simultaneous
(multiple linear regression analysis) with SPSS version 20.
Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis, simultaneously (together) two
variables motivation (X1) and work environment (X2) significantly were affected job satisfaction (Y).
The degree of influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable can be determined by
performing a partial test. The results of this study were motivation variable (X1) has a significant
effect on the satifaction employee variable (Y), and the work environment variable (X2) significant
effect on satisfaction employee variable (Y). Based on the analysis using the coefficient of
determination (R2), variable motivation and work environment has affected satisfaction employee on
PT. Tirta Emas Kemasindo which was on 59,7 %. Moreover, 40,3% was affected by other variable
which was not incluted in this study.
Thus, the motivation and the work environment variables were significant effect on job
satisfaction employees of PT. Tirta Emas Kemasindo Pekanbaru. In addition, the work environment
variable was the most influence variable on satisfaction employee PT.Tirta Emas Kemasindo
