Abstract:
This study aims to improve the quality of the learning process so as to improve learning outcomes through the application of realistic mathematics education at fourth grade students SDS 043 Panti Arqam Bagan Hulu Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir academic year 2011/2012. The research was conducted in the fourth grade SDS 043 Panti Arqam Bagan Hulu Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir academic year 2011/2012 the number of students by 20 people consisting of men and women were 13 people and 7 people. This research is a class Actions to be taken is the implementation of realistic mathematics education in order to improve student learning outcomes. Implementation of the learning process in this study using two-cycle consists of six sessions with six learning implementation plan and twice tests. From the results of research carried out an increasing number of students who achieve mastery criteria minumum after implementation of realistic mathematics education. An increasing number of students for 2 people and an increase of 10 percent mastery criteria minumum attainment of basic score to test I. Furthermore, from the test II to tests I the number of students who achieve up to 19 mastery criteria minumum, mastery criteria Minumum attainment percentage to 95%. From the first cycle to cycle II there was an increase of 35%. From these facts it can be concluded that the implementation of realistic mathematics education learning can improve learning outcomes fourth grade students SDS 043 Panti Arqam Bagan Hulu Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir school year 2011/2012 on the subject matter fractions.
