Abstract:
The objectives of mathematics education at its core is that the students are able to use or apply the mathematics learned in everyday life and in the study of knowledge. The result is the ability to learn mathematics possessed or achieved by students after participating in learning activities that are expressed in the form of scores or numbers. The basic principles of cooperative learning has not changed, there are several variations of the model one is two types of cooperative learning model or two stay two stray guests staying two. Type of cooperative learning model structure TSTS (Two Stay Two Stray) provide an opportunity for the group to share results and information for other groups. This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of two types of cooperative learning model to stay two stray semester Kelas IV SDN 024 Bagan Barat Bangko Rokan Hilir academic year 2011/2012 on the subject matter fractions. Forms of research is a class act, Action research is action research conducted with the aim to improve the quality of classroom practice. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques and activities of all teachers and students studying mathematics test results in the form of daily tests. From the results of this study concluded there was an increase in student learning outcomes of the base score and the daily tests I and daily tests of daily tests I to II. Thus the results of this analysis support the hypothesis action measures, namely the implementation of cooperative learning approach Stay Two Two Stray (TSTS) can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes IV SDN 024 Bagan Barat.
