ABSTRACT
This research conducted action to improve learning outcomes of mathematics through cooperative learning model type small circle big circle in class of III SD Negeri 011 Parit Aman Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir semester academic year 2011/2012 on the subject matter to know fractions. As a research subject is class of III SD Negeri 011 Parit Aman Kecamatan Bangko Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, numbering 24 people consisting of 13 male students and 11 female students whose abilities much below the specified school KKM is 60. This study was conducted in two cycles consisting of the first cycle and second cycle each of the three meetings and one-time daily tests. Based on the results of research on learning outcomes increased after the action than before the action. Total mastery achievement criteria minumum the basic score 17 students (70.83%), decreased in the first cycle to 15 students (62.5%) and increased again in the second cycle to 19 students (79.16%). Use of cooperative learning techniques small circle big circle mathematics can improve learning outcomes Elementary School of third grade students at SD Negeri 011 Parit Aman Kecamatan Bangko Kabupate
