HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN PERAWAT TENTANG PERAWATAN PASIEN DENGAN VENTILATOR DAN SIKAP PERAWAT TERHADAP TINDAKAN SUCTION

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the nurse's knowledge about the care of patients with ventilator and attitude of nurses towards suction action at Arifin Achmad Hospital ICU. The research method is correlation design with a sample of 28 people. The sampling method the total sample. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested the validity and reliability. The analysis is used univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test results obtained P value = 0.003, it can be stated that the p value <0.05, there was a significant relationship between the knowledge of nurses about the care of patients with ventilator and suction action attitude towards nurses in the ICU. The results of this study recommend to the parties concerned, especially RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru to provide training on suction technique to standard operating procedures (SOP), which is that the knowledge and attitude of nurses can be improved so as to provide maximum service to patients who are ventilator installed in the room ICU RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru.
