Abstract:
This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of primary hypertension Asien the diet. The research method used was a simple descriptive. The research was conducted at Balai Pengobatan Nabilah Harapan Raya pekanbaru by using purposive sampling technique, with 31 respondents. The instrument was questionnaire, and the data were analyzed with a statistical test frequency distribution. The results showed that a total of 23 respondents (74.2%) had good knowledge, 8 respondents (25.8%) had sufficient knowledge and (0%) or no respondents that have a lack of knowledge. The results also showed that 17 respondents (74.2%) have the positive attitude and 14 respondents (25.8%) had a negative attitude. To prevent the occurrence of complications in patients with hypertension is expected that respondents adopting a healthy lifestyle and health workers are expected to remain to guide or provide counseling to patients with hypertension to keep running healthy diet.
