Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the husband's knowledge and attitude about family planning method man operations. This ressearch method was correlation descriptive. This research was conducted in Puskesmas Harapan Raya Pekanbaru with a sample size of 68 people. The sampling technique was random sampling. The measuring instrument that’s been used was a questionnaire with 12 questions of knowledge and 12 attitude statements Univariate test results obtained the majority of age is 35-39 years which is 24 people (35.3%), high school education 34 people (50.0%), private employment 48 people (70.6%), Islam 63 people (92.6%) , ethnic Minang 23 people (33.8%), sufficient knowledge is 36 people (52.9%) and negative attitudes is 35 people (51.5%). Bivariate test results obtained p value 0.002 at α = 0.05 and it can be concluded that p value <α.This research results showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge with the husband attitude about in Puskesmas Harapan Raya Pekanbaru. Hence, from this research results, Puskesmas should improve health promotions about family planning especially method man operations, by conducting outreach and introduce kontap, do a safari family planning, and providing leaflets that can be read by the people who come to Puskesmas.
