Hubungan antara stres kerja terhadap tingkat empati perawat dalam merawat ganguan jiwa

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the relationship between working stress and nurse’s empathy state in caring for patients with disorder at Tampan mental hospital of Riau Province. Methodology of this research was a descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The number of sample is 47 respondents who were taken by total sampling technique. The measurement tool of this research is a questionnaire with 33 questions wich have been validity test and reliability. In this research, we used bivariate analysis with Chi Square test. Based on statistical result,it got p value (0,005) which smaller than alpha 0,05, which ameans have there is a significant relationship between working stress and nurse’s empathy state in caring for patients with mental disorder. Based on this research result, Tampan Mental Hospital of Riau Province needs to keep supporting programs that provide motivation for nurses work to improve services in providing mental health services
