Abstract:
The research was conducted at PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Pekanbaru Branch in order to determine and analyze the effect of compensation and working environment for employee morale and to determine the most dominant factor affecting employee morale at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Pekanbaru Branch. This research was supported by the relevant theories such as cognition Morale, Factors Affecting Morale, Understanding Compensation and Working Environment Concepts, and this section also hypotheses and operational definitions of the study variables. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Data was collected by interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study were employees of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Pekanbaru branch numbering as many as 190 employees, then sampled as many as 66 employees. Sampling method with random sampling proporsive. The data analysis used multiple linear regression method and hypothesis testing performed by the F test, t test and the coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the variable partial compensation, work environment on employee morale, it is evident from the results of the t test at the 95% confidence level. There is a significant effect of simultaneous variable compensation and work environment for employee morale which is evident from the results of the F test at 95% confidence level. There is a high contribution of variable compensation and work environment for employee morale, which amounted to 72.8% and amounted to only 27.2% determined by other variables. There is a strong positive relationship between variable compensation and working environment with employee morale, it is seen from the results of the correlation coefficients obtained for 85.3%.
