PERGESERAN PERAN NINIK MAMAK DALAM MEMBIMBING KEMENAKAN DI KENAGARIAN LUBUK JANTAN KABUPATEN TANAH DATAR

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the role moving that is done by village elders in guiding aristocratic child and to know what factors influence village elders’ role in guiding aristocratic. The use of this research is the research result is hoped to be able to give thinking contribution for sociology knowledge, especially in inspecting and solving the problem of village elders’ role and as input material and information for other researchers in next research, so this thing can add and complete another knowledge review reference and be useful for the next academic development. The research location, the writers will discuss the moving of village elders’ role in guiding aristocratic child in Lubuk Jantan Land, Tanah Datar Regency. For obtaining the needed data in this research, the writers collect data by interview and using questioner list. The data that is got is processed in qualitative analyze, is after the collected data has been processed and chosen based on the kind and then explained in words so it describes certain situation from society of Lubuk Jantan Land about village elders’ role and its moving. The research result shows that society of Lubuk Jantan Land has experienced the change. This thing can be seen clearly in relation between village elders and aristocratic child, where aristocratic child doesn’t respect anymore its village elders nowadays, and many aristocratic children don’t know who their village elders and tribe are. The factor which causes the moving of village elders’ role to aristocratic child is factor of education, economy, and technology in Lubuk Jantan Land. The conclusion of this research that society of Lubuk Jantan Land has changed or moved from village elders’ role to aristocratic child where the moving can be seen from sector of education and inherited wealth. This thing should be needed the consciousness and sincerity from aristocratic child to give the trust again to its village elders.
