dc.description.abstract The research is done in SMAN 1 Tambang, Kampar district. The background of this research is that the student learning outcomes not only determined by the school, pattern, structure, and content of the curriculum, but largely determined by the competence of the teacher to teach. The competence teacher will be able to manage. The learning process and create a condusive learning, then continually develop student’s potentials so that the optimal expected to improve students learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of pedagogical competency of economics teacher on the learning outcomes of students SMAN 1 Tambang , Kampar district. This study started from prariset activities on march until july 2012. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPS totaling 106 students who are all as sample. The data used is in the form of primary data and secondary data by using data collection teachingues through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis with quantitative descriptive analysis using simple linier regression equation that is processed through SPSS version 16.00. The results showed that there is an influence of teacher’s pedagogical competency on students learnig outcomes. It is evident from results of the analysis with a Simple Linier Regression. Equation obtained in this study is Y=26,326+1,124x. This means that if the pedagogical teacher (x) is fixed, the amount of learning outcome (y) at 26,326. If the competency pedagogical teacher (x) increased one unit, then the learning outcomes (y) will increase by 1,124. Futher obtained coefficient of Determinasi (R2) is approximately 0,245 or 24,5%. This suggest that economics teacher pedagogical influencing studens learning outcomes SMAN 1, Kampar district, by 24,5% and the rest is influenced by other factor. Based on the results of research done by the writer and from the discussion of study, the writer recommends to economics teachers in order to futher improve pedagogical competency for smooth learning processes and improve student learning outcomes in the future. en_US
