OIL CONTENT ANALYSIS AT UPS AND DOWNS PORTS IN WATERS AROUND IN SIBOLGA HARBOUR NORTH SUMATERA

Abstract

A studyon oil content of water arroun Sibolga Harbour was conducted the research airred at providing information on oil pollution level which use full for management purposes. Six sampling station were assigned in the area, and sampling were done at tide as well as neaptide. Oil content analysis were performed by extracted method (API 1340). It revealed that oil content at tide were of 0,662–1,292 ppm, where at neaptide were of 0,382-1,136 ppm. Statistically oil content at tide were higher (p>0,05) that neaptide.
