Abstract:
Determining a strategic UMKM business location is one of the many important factors
that must be considered before launching a business. Choosing a business location is
currently difficult, especially a strategic location and profitable turnover. This is one of
the responsibilities of the Department of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives - Small and
Medium Enterprises (Disperindagkop-UKM) in helping people find solutions to these
problems. The purpose of this research is to build a decision support system in
determining the location of UMKM businesses using the weighted product method at
the Disperindagkop-UKM in Riau Province.
The analytical method uses the Weighted Product (WP) method, by means of
multiplication to connect attribute ratings, where the rating of each attribute must be
raised to the first power of the attribute weight in question. This study uses 5 criteria,
namely rental price, target market, number of UMKM competitors, location access and
building area. This decision support system produces the 3 best business locations in a
row, namely Riau street with the highest yield, namely 0.102371, Tuanku Tambusai
street with a value of 0.093298, Imam Munandar street with a value of 0.086068. This
decision support system can help and facilitate the Riau Province Disperindagkop-
UKM in making decisions on determining the location of UMKM businesses by looking
at the criteria for business actors and choosing the best business location.
