Abstract:
This research aims to build a system that can provide contraceptive recommendations
in the form of web-based applications using the Analytical Hierarchy Process Method.
Contraceptives are tools used to prevent pregnancy. Medical experts play an important
role in assisting in making contraceptive decisions that are suitable for the needs and
conditions of the patient. Complex decision-making instruments, tools used, and manual
analysis processes will result in a long time consuming (time consumptive). The
Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was chosen to describe the weights
according to the appropriate criteria used for selecting contraceptives. The criteria
used are age, duration of use, number of children, and history of disease. Alternative
contraceptives used are Intra Uterine Device (IUD), condoms, injections, and implants.
The stages of this research consist of literature study, data collection, data processing,
system design, and system testing. The results of this research are to provide
recommendations for the best contraceptives sorted by ranking. With the construction of
this system, it is hoped that it can help medical experts to provide contraceptive
recommendations to patients efficiently.
