Abstract:
Mangrove is an important ecosystem in Api-Api Village which is located in the coastal
area. The existence of mangroves play an important role as natural resources for the
community and for balanced coastal ecosystems. This study aimed to determine the
effect of environmental factors on mangrove regeneration in Api-Api Village using
purposive sampling method consisting of three observation transects. The study
collected data of mangrove types, number of seedlings, height of seedlings, as well as
environmental factors that affect mangrove growth such as salinity, water pH,
temperature, humidity, light intensity, canopy cover, tides, and rainfall. Result of study
showed that the environmental factors classified as suitable for mangrove growth and
supporting mangrove regeneration
