The goal of this research is for knowing why the Tionghoa ethnic community still defends ethnocentrism and for knowing what kinds of factors that cause strong ethnocentrism in Tionghoa ethnic. The use of this research is the view of Sociology weakness especially social culture system and as input material for the involved institutions, like institution of education, health, family and security etc. The research location, the author will explain Tionghoa society of Bagan Siapi-api in Political district of Bagan Barat in Subdistrict of Bangko, Regency of Rokan Hilir. To obtain the data in this research, the author collects data by leading interview and using questioner list. The following data will be processed in quantitative-descriptive analysis and it has purpose to describe systematically and fact and also object and subject characteristic that are examined carefully. The research result shows that Tionghoa people are not able to communicate to local society because of language difference, opened attitude of Tionghoa in Bagan Siapi-api is good enough, because Tionghoa society has started to have good relation with indigene seen from their daily life that has respected indigene’s culture in Bagan and doesn’t lower each other. Tionghoa was middle-up class than indigene ethnic both in previous era of independence and independence era. Tionghoa ethnic loves culture and respects high-educated people. The ethnocentrism factors is social, culture, economy and religion in Bagan Siapi-api. The conclusion of this research is ethnocentrism if it is limited or reduced; it tends to be politicized by groups that may concern. For ethnic that considers their better and conspicuous culture is an ethnocentrism attitude. The positive relation must be built advantageous communication condition that is obtained by every nation tribe or ethnic. Adding the advantage between different nation tribe and ethnic, it can be completed by them as interaction material in daily life order.
