ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION (STAD) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR
IPS SISWA KELAS IV DI SD NEGERI 78 SEBANGAR KECAMATAN MANDAU

ABSRACT
Action research was conducted to determine the application of cooperative learning
model type of student teams achievement division (STAD) to improve learning outcomes IPS
fourth grade students in the Elementary School District 78 Sebangar Mandau Bengkalis.
Where the subjects in this study were fourth grade students by the number of 27 students
consisting of 10 men and 17 women. The research was carried out by two cycles where every
cycle consists of two sessions. The variables of study include the activities of teachers in
using the model type STAD cooperative learning, student learning activities and student
learning outcomes. Data is rated one observer using the observation sheet.Implementation of
cooperative learning model type Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) to improve
learning outcomes IPS fourth grade students in the Elementary School District 78 Sebangar
Mandau Bengkalis show that all teachers in the first cycle in the perfect category increased to
category perfectly. While the activities of students in the first cycle in the category of less
active and very active in second cycle. As well as the quiz grade student learning outcomes in
the first cycle in the category of less value and increase in first daily test score on the enough
category. Then held on the second cycle improvement of student learning outcomes quiz
grades in the good category and increased second daily test results in very good category.
