Abstract:
Pyridazinone is a heterocyclic dinitrogen compound with one carbonyl which is
known to have diverse biological activities such as anticonvulsant, analgesic, anti
inflammatory, anti microbial, and anti hypertension. The pyridazinone 6-(4-
chlorophenyl)pyridazin-3(2H)-one synthesized with 4-chloro acetophenone,
glyoxylic acid and hydrazine hydrate by sealed-vessel reactor method. The purity
of the pyridazinone was determined by the TLC test, determination of melting
point, and HPLC analysis. The structure of the pyridazinone was obtained from
UV, FTIR, NMR, and HRMS spectroscopic studies. Synthesis of 6-(4-
chlorophenyl)-4,5dihydropyridazin-3(2H)-one in this research was concluded with
a yield 60,52%, and the toxicity was determined by the Brine Shrimp Lethality
Test (BSLT) method. The value of the LC50 was showed 7,01 μg/mL. From the
data above was concluded that 6-(4-chlorophenyl)-4,5-dihydropyridazin-3(2H)-one
conjugate was toxic.
