This research was conducted to determine the quality of smoked selais fish is stored at room temperature using different curing methods. five types of smoked selais fish were preserved using liquid smoke from laban’s wood with treatment concentration of 6%, 8% which soaked in liquid smoke rough, and concentration of 6%, 8% in the distillation of liquid smoke, immersion time 60 and 90 minutes as the traditional fumigation control. Smoked selais fish were observed for 10, 20, 30, 40 days. The results indicated that the smoked fish have a good and uniform quality of all treatments, with the organoleptic quality assessment, water contain, pH, and peroxide.

The research was conducted in March 2013 with the object of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The research objects are counted by the number of heartbeats different current treatments. The purpose of this study was to determine the heart rate of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), a basic knowledge of predicting the rate of metabolism and respiration and heart rate also determine the activity of tilapia at different swimming speeds, in the process of catching up with the use of active fishing gear. The higher the flow rate used in tilapia fishes the heart rate up, and seen in the relative heart rate ranging from (1.1 to 3.78), a portrait that fish require a lot of energy so that the fish is also increasing the body's metabolisme.

The material strength of shipbuilders is one of the factors that support the quality of the ships, the better quality of ingredients, more qualified ship created. This research aimed to find out whether influence of composition of variation of strength of materials. This study aims to: (1) to find out there is the influence of variation of laminated fiber on tensile strength and press the fiberglass, (2) to determine the variations in the composition of fibres which are most suitable for use as layers of the hull. This research uses a variation of the 4 specimens, i.e. the specimen 1 (WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat-Mat), specimen 2 (WR-Mat-WR-WR-Mat-Mat),specimen 3 (WR-Mat-Mat-Mat-WR-WR) and specimen 4 (Mat-WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat) using survey methods, laboratory testing method (test tensile and bending test), methods of descriptive statistics and test variants in one direction (one way ANOVA). The results of this study indicate that the specimen with the variations in fiber WR-Mat-Mat-Mat-WR-WR (specimen 3) tensile strength value the average voltage is greater (11.94 N/mm2) than any other fiber variation (specimens 1, 2, 4), the variations in fiber WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat-Mat (specimen 1) tensile strain strength value on average bigger (3,245 N/mm2) than any other fiber variation (specimens 2, 3, 4) and the variations in fiber Mat-WR-WR-WR-Mat-Mat (specimen 4) bending strength has a value of voltage the greater average (32,05 N/mm2) than any other fiber variation (specimens 1, 2,3).

The research was conducted in March 2013 by using models with and without fin stabilizer specially designed fiber made of materials as an alternative to outrigger. The purpose of this study was to determine the ship roll period which is not used with the use of fin stabilizer. Values are included in the calculation of the equation approaches shaky period so as to produce a comparison value which is calculated from the equation shaky period. Calculation results are given to conclude that the period of roll fin stabilizer models with lower than the model without fin stabilizer.
