The objectives this research to find out for preservation beach seine process with using salam wood fiber (Syzygium polyanthum). The data will be tabulation in table and picture form, then will be analyzed descriptively until get the conclusion about preservation beach seine with salam wood fiber. Based on the result research preservation beach seine fishing gear that was did by fisherman Southern District of Bungus still minimum. Preservation process was did by fisherman Southern Distric of Bungus that named ubar process or in traditional language (minang) mengubar and tannin consist in salam wood was 17,518 %.
