Indentify of farmer in kampar, 2. Analized of farmer relation and 3. Analized relation of farmer characteristics with perception about performance of the joint farmer group (gapoktan). The research method is survey with sampel 96 people in 3 gapoktan that are gapoktan peduli, gapoktan karya bersama, and gapoktan maju bersama. Characteristics identification that used is descriptive analyzing, analyzing with likert scale, urgency and statisfied analyzing. Analyzing of correlation between farmer characteristic and the performance of gapoktan with spearman rank. The result showed that, the gapoktan kampar regerency is farmer with ages 40-90 years old, with education level elementry school, field areabis 1,5-2 Ha, house income is 2.000.000,00- 4.000.000,00 rupiahs, and main the business activity is saving and loaannand saprodi stock. Farmer perception obout the performance of gapoktan have middle category. The result of correlation the showd that education level and together timing have very real correlation towards a gapoktan’s performance (organization aspect, management aspect planning, doing, supervisin, and agribusiness development), house income has real correlation toward gapoktan’sperformance (management aspect, doing aspect and supervision).
