Type of reseach is experimental reseach with pretest-posttest design. Data colection time in june 2012. Sample consisted of two class, namely class XI IPA 1 as experimental class and class IPA 2 as the control class. Experimentalclass given the type of treatment strategy quiz team. Hypotesis testing using t- test of the parties, based on the result t-value 2,25 > t-table 1,67 of the price obtained t (2,25 > 1,67) means the applicattion of active learning strategies type quiz twam can inprove atudent achivement hydrolysis of salt on the subject in class XI science SMA Muhammadiyah Bangkinang.
