Histochemical staining of roots using hematoxylin showed dark purple color on 1 mm region of Al-treated root apices. The root tips of Al-sensitive rice genotype (IR64 and Krowal) tended to dark purple, contranstly the root tips of Al-tolerant rice genotype (Grogol and Hawara Bunar) did not stained.
