These bacteria can get into the plant tissue through injured plant tissue or bacteria can produce cellulase enzyme to degrade plant cell walls that contain cellulose.Cellulase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis ofβ-1-4-glycosidic bond of cellulose. A total of nineteen isolates endophytic bacteria were inoculated onto medium containing 1% carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC).
