Riani, Sri Rahayu2013-02-182013-02-182013-02-18http://repository.unri.ac.id:80/handle/123456789/2196Undiagnosed diabetes mellitus (UDDM) is a condition of fasting plasma glucose higher than normal level found in screening without any clinical symptoms. It can lead into serious complications if the blood glucose is uncontrolled. A descriptive cross sectional study to identify the prevalence of undiagnosed diabetes mellitus in Puskesmas Sidomulyo Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru has done involving 120 subjects. Cappilary fasting blood glucose of subjects was detected with rapid test kit. Undiagnosed diabetes mellitus was diagnosed using WHO 1999 standard which has been adapted by the Society of Indonesian Endocrinologist. The results showed 29,17% (35 subjects) were identify as UDDM. From those who diagnosed as UDDM, 74,29% were women, 60% more ≥ 45 years old, 51,43% had graduated from Senior High School, 85,71% has no diabetes mellitus history in family.endiabetes mellitus,undiagnosed diabetes mellitusPREVALENSI DIABETES MELITUS YANG TIDAK TERDIAGNOSIS DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SIDOMULYO KECAMATAN TAMPAN KOTA PEKANBARU
