Based on XRD, UV-DRS and FTIR characterization. XRD characterization showed that the crystal size of the ZnO/Fly ash composite with 10 g palm frond extract was 21,44 nm. The results of UV-DRS characterization showed that there was a decrease in the band-gap energy from 3,21 eV in ZnO to 2,94 eV in the ZnO/Fly ash composite with 10 g palm frond extract.
