Fruit processing industry should be supported to be able to contribute optimally to the economy of the region . The purpose of the study is to identify and analyze the potential and problems of processed fruit industry development strategy in Kota Batu. The study was designed using a qualitative descriptive approach to support primary data and secondary data . Retrieval and data collection techniques used in the study are: (i) observation and in-depth interviews are used to analyze and identify potential problems; ( ii ) Focus Group Discussion ( FGD ) to examine and analyze the strategies required for the development of fruit processing industry. The results showed there was a trend increase in the number and diversity of production of processed fruit products along with the support of potential raw materials and consumer demand, especially the tourism industry. The main problem faced by among others the limitations of both production equipment to improve the quality and quantity of processed fruit products that already exist and in an effort to support the development of new products.
