The schemes are easier to understand in computation of the determinant of a matrix of order 3  3 , than the existing method. This new method can be used as an alternative method to compute the determinant of a matrix of order 3  3 , than existing methods, such as Sarrus’s rule, Chio’s condensation method, the triangle rule and the Dodgson’s condensation method.
