This research is aimed to know the potency of palm shell waste as actived charcoal in Riau Province and to reduce the environmental damages because of palm shell waste. The data in this research is secondary data. The method and data analysis were quantitative descriptive by using statistical formula with geometric method. The number of palm shell waste for one ton of fresh fruit bunches (TBS) was 6.5%. if using actived charcoal yield of 80% of the waste palm shell,the actived charcoal productivity in 2006 was 234.619,23 tons.
